AUDIENCE REVIEW: Kaleid Dance Collective in "Keeping Watch"

Freeform Review:

Rush Johnston is a visionary choreographer and performer, and their work "Keeping Watch" is a spectacular exploration of family, gender, Southern identity, and religion. I was drawn in immediately by their captivating stage presence, inter-weaving of text, sound, tactile objects, and movement. The interplay between the body, the pedestrian and abstract, and the overlay of narrative created a layered and thought-provoking dance work that I cannot recommend enough.
