AUDIENCE REVIEW: Dance Visions NY in "Rising Up" (Review 1)

The predicted rain held off, so we were fortunate to experience a beautiful outdoor performance of Dance Visions NY on Sunday, June 18th, 2023. There were about 150 in attendance and from their reactions... it was well received.

The modern dancers were very creative. They told a story with their movement. They showed emotion and moved in sync with the music. The costumes were colorful and flowed with the breeze and the music. There was a powerful connection and relatability to what is happening in our world today. Our Bodies, Our Choice was extraordinary and deeply meaningful. 

There were 10 dancers in all with a wide range of ages, and they moved together and distinctly to the voices of Willow Women's Choir. They forged the elements with the dance "Identity-Who We Are" they had me mesmerized with their balletic movements. 

I had seen them in the past and this particular performance was truly outstanding.
