DANCE NEWS: Gibney Announces 2021-22 Dance In Process (DiP) Resident Artists

Gibney has announced the four artists awarded 2021-22 Dance in Process (DiP) Residencies! DiP is made possible by generous support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation:
 
Parijat Desai
André Zachary
Paloma McGregor
Jean Butler

Each resident artist will receive: three weeks of exclusive studio space at Gibney, a $7,500 stipend, an additional $2,000 available for artistic consultant fees, and administrative, production, and marketing support throughout the year. These four artists make up the first of two cohorts funded by a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support Dance in Process over the next two years.

After a decade of DiP, what’s in store for Gibney’s DiP: Dance in Process Residency? Join Gibney’s Performance and Residencies team this fall for two Community Listening Sessions to discuss one of Gibney’s longest-running programs.

Thursday, September 23rd at 7pm EDT (in person at Gibney 280, Studio U – please note Gibney’s current vaccine and mask policies)

Wednesday, October 13th at 11am EDT over zoom.

KEEPING YOU SAFE
Gibney will require proof of full vaccination for all visitors to the Center beginning on Tuesday, September 7th. Review the full policy here.
