The Indo-American Arts Council presented another year of superb performances of East Indian dance and music under the title of Erasing Borders Dance Festival. The evening of September 21, at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, was an elegant affair, with first rate dancers and musicians, all beautifully costumed, from emerging to veteran dancers, performing different styles of dance - Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and more. One doesn't have to be a scholar of Indian dance to appreciate the experertise and professionalism of the artists and the variety of presentations. The performance was enhanced by beautifully delivered and informative introductions by different members of the IAAC Board. All in all, a most elegant, educational, and satisfying evening of dance.
