Freeform Review:
Kizuna Dance Company ruled the stage at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City last nightand gave the audience 40 minutes of high energy, athletic, and beautiful movement. This talented group of artists make a strong connection with the audience and each other. The result is an audience drawn into an experiencial trip through Japanese WWII in a way that captured joy, pain, loss, and hope.
The quality of technque and precision shown during the piece, while appearing relaxed and unchoreagraphed, showed maturity in the choreographer, who did not lose sight of his vision for this work.
The talent and quality of each dancer is evident. The male dancers are strong and demonstrate dance athletisim. The female dancers are graceful, flexible, and demonstrate beautiful technique and stamina. The female soloist is someone to watch, as she draws your eyes onto the stage with her strong, yet soft, movement style and long beautiful lines.
Don't miss the opportunity to see this vibrant emerging company.
Kizuna Dance will not dissappoint!
