Have you ever seen this company/ before?
Tell us a bit about your history with this group/performer?
a fan of Larry Keigwin since 2004. I first saw him perform with Mark Dendy for some apap event and I was really riveted ...He has an amazing presence as a performer...
I then saw him work with Nicole at a showcase at NYU... I appreciate that he likes to play and his physicality...some fine pieces.

Why did you go to the show? What did you expect to see?
I went of course to support Larry. I went too because it was a family matinee at 2 pm
on a Wednesday in summer- and I could bring my kids ages 10 and 6 to the show. I went because I had been invited to rehearsal awhile back and I wanted to see how things transfered to stage.

What was your favorite moment(s)? What inspired you?
Larry in a too short solo - Gecko - very intriguing He moved like an iguana ,traveling a short distance along the floor in almost prehistoric fashion- lumbering grace- he rose to his feet with a desire to transform - ? -
Float w/ Y. Shiau,S. Roberts + A. Cook-
the group movement-

Describe as plainly and as specifically as you can what you actually saw. We are going for description without judgement.
There is no need for complete sentences, phrases and word lists are fine. You can describe these elements or anything you can think of: the artists, the kinds of movement, the qualities of the movement, the use of the stage/space, the musicality/timing...
choreography dancing about water fire earth and air...
very talented dancers/ and choreography
great costumes loved the plaids and colors in earth...orange green lights
energy in group dancing .S. Roberts
some awesome dance moments /performances
entertaining - yet sometimes too glib for me ..

Do any images, colors or feelings pop into your head when you think about this show?
towels .-...end of the water section - everyone spit water into the air -great image-simple to do very effective -some of the partnering with towels gals being swung in them...guy in a turban and high heels and towel running( lol)-pop 80's song 'whip it" being danced chameleons - My kids loved all.

Describe any or all of these elements: music, lighting, the venue. - How did they contribute (or not) to your enjoyment of this performance?
seeing a dance show at The Joyce on a wednesday afternoon with my family ...PRICELESS -

Would you like to see this performance / company again? Would you recommend it to a friend?
Why or why not?
Yes... a talented group...always worth seeing what they are up to ...

What would you like to have seen more of? Less of?
..More exploration...what worked were sections that weren't obvious, but took me beyond what I saw. parts with a layer of meaning .or just the simplicity of powerful movement I thought some of the campy pop stuff was not necessary.I like campy pop but with a purpose.

If you could, what would you ask the choreographer / dancers?
How did your show change from one set of performances to the next.

What were you happy with and what were you not pleased with?

Are you continuing to work on this set of dances?
