Stacey Tookey's Still Motion Dance Company Prepares to Wow NYC
Hi, Dance Enthusiast fans. Bill Hebert back again with a Postcard from rehearsal with Stacey Tookey and her Still Motion Dance Company on the eve of their New York debut at Gibney Dance's Lower Manhattan location.
Stacey Tookey I’m sure you may know from the hit show "So You Think You Can Dance" as one of the shows frequent choreographers. Tookey is an Emmy-nominated choreographer.
Her company, Still Motion, is a new dance group mixing the fresh young talent of Los Angeles with the experience and maturity of guest artists from all over North America.
The show, Moments Defined, which debuts June 4th & 5th at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College in New York, was created around the moments of a person's life, which change, shape, inspire and define.
Moments Defined brings these snap shots to life - raw and real- articulated through movement.
