The Woolgatherers presents "Genesis 22" on Governor's Island
Company:
The Woolgatherers
Genesis 22 is an immersive dance-theater piece consisting of six individual, simultaneous tellings of the Abraham and Isaac story set in a house on Governors Island. Helmed by six different directors with their own team of performers, each interpretation presents a unique outlook told through a likewise unique performance technique. They all circle an exploration of faith, family, and sacrifice. We seek to unlock the complexities of this ancient story through the intersection of perspective and form under one roof. Audience members are welcome to explore the house's two floors and many rooms, and step in and out at will, though we encourage attending the full two hours.
No two audience experiences will be the same.
Tickest are donation-based ($10-25).
