SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ: "Project BrOKen," Dance Performances Depicting Mental Health, Addiction and Disabilities

Project BrOKen is a groundbreaking project involving art and dance to benefit individuals and families impacted by mental health, addiction and disabilities. This project is sponsored in part by the Township of Scotch Plains, a 2023 HEART Grant (Union County) and iDance Ministry.
The dance performance will feature internationally renowned dancer and disability activist, Kitty Lunn, as well as dancers from the award winning iDance Ministry dance program.
There are three parts to this project which include:
- Expressive Dance Art (featured at an art exhibition on January 16, 2023 and will be displayed on May 20, 2023);
- Live Performance and Resource Fair (May 20, 2023) and
- The creation of a video resource to be used by organizations and schools that serve individuals impacted by mental health, addiction and learning disabilities.
