Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, a Dance Company
Ronald K. Brown’s choreography has been described by The New York Times as a “personal language that’s flexible, richly expressive and irresistibly kinetic.” The company integrates traditional and spiritual dances of the African diaspora using music, text, and dance to tell physical stories of the human condition. In celebration of Gay Pride Month, EVIDENCE presents a revival of Brown’s Bessie Award winning Better Days, examining love, sexuality, and identity. Also on the program is the company premiere of Brown’s Four Corners, a work originally set on Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and four other works from the company’s repertoire.
