"Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener are bringing a welcome dose of kids’-party high jinks to the modern-dance stage" - The New Yorker
Conceived and designed by Barbara Kilpatrick, Nearly Stationary is a new interdisciplinary work commissioned by Hudson Hall in collaboration with dance artists Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener. The dancers will perform site-specific choreography amid, and in dialogue with, a stunning installation of 19 of Kilpatrick’s performance costumes. Live musicians will perform John Cage’s meditative String Quartet in Four Parts, whose third part provides the title for the entire work.
