TRANSCENDING & BLISS, an extension of original “Transcending” project performed in the Spring 2021. This is a deep healing journey through the artistic collaboration between dance, music and multimedia art. It is an exploration of different vibrational aspects of sound and movement choreographed by Miriam Barbosa (Miriam Barbosa Dance) and Javier Dzul (Dzul Dance) and performed by them plus an ensemble cast of 4 dancers to music instrumentation by Daria Savishkina, Franck Raharinosy and Michael Mustafa Ulmer. This artistic collaborative project is a healing source impacting lives at difficult times in much need of strength and self empowerment. It is time for a social uplifting experience of consciousness and oneness.
Ms Barbosa and Mr Dzul explore the air element through aerial dance to add sensorial anti gravitational feeling to the spectators creating a sense of lightness and weightlessness, magnifying their transformational meditative state in conjunction with the sounds and lighting effects. The ensemble cast with Danielle Marie Fusco, Andrea Dusel-Foil, Ricardo Barrett and Aaron Steinberg, reflects the bliss of transcending through powerful music and togetherness in dance weaving across the stage through beautiful images by Multimedia artistic designer Marcela Bragagnolo.
Ms Savishkina and Mr Raharinosy play their sound meditation instruments live, offering multiple tones which creates layers of sound, adapted artistically to the choreography, which can be directly felt by those experiencing it and improving their ability to cope with stress, enhancing their perception into a state of serenity and peace. Guest musician Michael Ulmer also holds the space adding color and ecstatic rhythm to the moving meditation and blissfulness. The live performance will also be live streamed from the New York Live Arts Theater on October 24th, 2021 at 7pm EST. At the present moment, given the Covid-19 restrictions, our filming team with its high technology makes Transcending possible to share the healing and meditative aspect of this interdisciplinary project online so it is safely accessible to all. Miriam Barbosa has experienced the deep healing effects from the sound meditation during her battle with Covid in 2020 when Mr Raharinosy offered online sessions, in addition to her consistent breathing and movement technique practice. They now would like to share with the world this beautiful work promoting a deep sense of well being and higher consciousness to all viewers, inspiring and strengthening their inner power and potential as human beings. This multidisciplinary project is meant to uplift people’s lives transcending above all social issues as a healing tool.
