Jonah Bokaer Choreography's Annual NYC Season
Company:
Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation, Inc
Jonah Bokaer Choreography presents its annual NYC season, unveiling never-before-seen pandemic dances created between 2020-23. JBC's international multi-ethnic dancers return to Florence Gould Hall, its chosen home for NYC, French, and diaspora cultures, which form its artistic family including FIAF. JBC was founded in 2002 by Tunisian-American choreographer Jonah Bokaer as the banner program of Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization running the dance company and its programs. JBC rose quickly to French and international acclaim by touring 35 weeks abroad annually pre-pandemic.
JBC return to FIAF post-pandemic is a resuscitation of local program services in NYC and represents a return home to our audiences and supporters. JBC seasons in NYC are funded by Harkness, Fox Samuels and Prospect Hill Foundations, and many others.
In English. Run time 1 hour. Appropriate for ages 12 and up. Benefit Reception to follow the evening's performance.
