Dear friends and neighbors,
We are excited to announce our participation in Roulette's "Relevant Tones Tenth Anniversary Festival: Useless Machines" with a performance of a preview of Rube G in collaboration with Frank London and his Ensemble, and sharing the bill with a performance of John Cage's Water Walk, and Useless Machines for Thinking, Dreaming, Feeling by Seth Boustead.
Choreographed by Jody Oberfelder in collaboration with dancers Mark Willis, Mei Yamanaka, Daniel Morimoto, and Vanessa Knouse, Rube G brings to light how things and people both connect and fall apart. The dance and music are inspired by Rube Goldberg, the object artist and inventor. The twenty-minute preview of the full-evening length work includes an original score by Frank London playing live with musicians Sae Hashimoto, Brian Drye, and Ron Caswel.
Tickets here (proof of vaccination required) for a one-night-only 8:00pm performance Thursday, October 14th
We can't wait to see you!
Warmly,
Jody Oberfelder Projects
