After being disrupted this Spring by the Corona Virus, Flamenco Latino finalized its 2020 Más Allá Series (“Way Beyond”) with a performance in collaboration with Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning on August 21, 2020. Flamenco Latino performed in front of the Jamaica Performing Arts Center, with a repertoire including elements of jazz, blues and salsa. A video of this performance, shot with 3 cameras and recorded on a digital audio mixer will stream on Flamenco Latino’s YouTube Channel Thurs. Oct. 8, 7-8 pm.
Original music and arrangements by Basilio Georges authentically navigate the different styles of dance with the help of Danny Rivera, baritone saxophone and Zach O’Farrill, drums and cajón. Choreographer, dancer and singer, Aurora Reyes is joined by the hip and dynamic tap dancer, Omar Edwards.
