ESTIA Day Fest with Dance, Music, Theater, Burlesque & More!
Company:
ESTIA Creative Home
ESTIA Day Fest is a multidisciplinary biannual Art festival intending to bring together artists of different mediums and calls them to explore their own understanding of the notion of home!
ESTIA draws inspiration from the Greek goddess of the home reflecting a source of light, warmth and refuge and is based on a creative practice that invites collaborators to question how their own bodies function as archives, how they synthesize stories from their own past and how they are reimagining their future. It is initiated by the belief that our own bodies/archives store memories, histories and traumas and through the analyzing, decolonizing, and unfolding of our archives is how we move efficiently forward as a community and collective.
ESTIA Day Fest presents the work of artists from all artistic mediums, including but not limited to:
-Dance (all styles)
-Music (all genres, digital & acoustic)
-Spoken Word/Theater Work
-Physical Theater/Performance Art
-Visual Art (painting, photography, larger installations, ceramics, sculpting, textile work, media art etc.)
-Film
-Burlesque/Clowning/Mime work/Tarot readers
Events will be happening throughout the day including installations, live performances on an outdoor stage, films projected in an indoor studio, a DJ set and so much more we won't give out quite yet! The audience will get to explore each room in a live museum format and will eventually hang out in the main outdoor space where drinks and snacks will be served!
