Belilove reimagines Isadora's timeless freedom Dances to the Ukrainian National Anthem
Artistic Director Lori Belilove and her Company will pay homage to the heroic valor of the Ukrainian people with a reimagined new work set to the Ukrainian National Anthem. Inspired by Duncan's timeless dances, the Company will create a new work honoring the heroism and valor and grit of the Ukrainian people. Belilove, herself a descendant of Ukrainian ancestry, reimagines these dances that evoke the cry, the terror, the loss.
There will also be a selection of Duncan repertory favorites: Schubert's Ave Maria, an homage to universal motherhood; Chopin's Slow Mazurka of loneliness and isolation; and The Nocturne duet, a tribute to hope. Special Guest dancers to be announced.
