BlakTinx Dance Festival presents "Smash Cut," featuring 10 Los Angeles choreographers
Company:
BlakTinx Dance Festival
Black + Latinx = BlakTinx celebrating Black and Latinx dance makers of SoCal
BlakTinx Dance Festival presents, Smash Cut, featuring 10 Los Angeles choreographers creating dances for the camera. Smash Cut is a technique in film/video where one scene abruptly cuts to another for aesthetic, narrative or emotional impact. BlakTinx’s third virtual concert uses this as a diving off point as we abruptly transition from the chaos of 2020 into the unknown of 2021! We are hopeful but circumspect. These 10 choreographers bring their individual, dynamic movement style and artistic visions to embody Smash Cut, expressing tenacity, hope, lineage, humor and surprise!
This concert will stream from Thursday 6/24/21 @7pm (PST) through Tuesday 6/29/21 @10pm. Tickets $10 are available at www.blaktinafestival.com
