ALB artist Allan McCormick has teamed up with director Valerie Mae Browne to create a new version of Swan Lake for American Liberty Ballet. Set as a two act ballet, this version combines the delicate beauty of ballet’s dearest tradition, with harsher tones brought on by our sadness for the loss of man’s relationship with nature. Blending elements of classical and contemporary ideas and technique this ballet will both satisfy the traditonalist and compel the inquistivie mind.

This evening will include an introductory work "A Dance Under the Sun" set to Maurice Ravel's Bolero. Concept and designs by critically acclaimed visual artist Anna Khachatryan with choreography by Valerie Mae Browne. Anna is well known for simultaneously shocking and bedazzling her viewers and this collaborative piece is no different. ALB's version of Bolero features themes from out of this world, which will burn a permanent place in the mind.

Join us at the Theater of St Jeans on 76th Street and Lexington Ave in Manhattan.
