ARTISTS IN MOTION 2020 is a fantastic performance opportunity for professional dance companies and choreographic artists to present their work in a curated 2-week program at the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance Capezio Center as guest artists of our New York Fall 2020 Season. Performances will be on October 3 at 8 pm (Program A), October 4 at 5 pm (Program B), October 10 at 8 pm (Program B), and October 11 at 5 pm (Program A).
"The Executive Board has been closely monitoring how things have been progressing here in NYC," says Alison Cook Beatty. "As stage three opens on July 6, we feel optimistic about keeping pushing forward for a safe event. I have been tuning in to Dance NYC's Dance Field Weekly Call, which also has been helping with safety guidelines in the reopening."
Catch 9 beautiful and unique guest choreographers and their dancers from around the country. The two dynamic programs are:
PROGRAM A:
Alison Cook Beatty Dance will perform LACRIMIS, the new work Untitled created on the baseball field and reconstructed for the stage and one other piece, which is still to be determined. On Saturday, October 3, we will have guest artists Kerr & Dancers and Kitty Lunn, Artistic Director of Infinity Dance Theatre, join us. On Sunday, October 11, at 5 pm, we will have guest choreographers Olivia Passarelli and Robyn Goulette, Artistic Director of Saving Grace Dance Ensemble. Ms. Goulette has commissioned choreographer Jere Hunt, of RIOULT Dance, join us.
PROGRAM B:
Alison Cook Beatty Dance will perform MURMURATION, FROM MY WINDOW TO YOURS (reconstructed from virtual work), and the other new work Untitled and inspired by The Yellow Wallpaper (also reconstructed from virtual work). On Sunday, October 4, at 5 pm, we will have guest choreographers Mary Katherine Conaway, Natalie Flynn of The Fun Dolls, and Moriah Markowitz join us. On Saturday, October 10, at 8 pm, we will have Kitty Lunn, Brenda Neville, Artistic Director of NEVILLE Dance Theatre, and Meagan Ahern join us.
