"Aether" - A Live Motion Capture Performance
Company:
Darren Solomon and Alon Ilsar
For the past ten months, ITP alums have been developing a live performance piece using motion capture. Aether, which takes place on June 16th at 10PM at National Sawdust in Williamsburg, is a one-hour piece featuring Perception Neuron suits, projection mapping, and live music and dance. It is based around the four classic elements and sacred geometry. Motion capture is traditionally used for video games and CGI, and the dance artists believe that their exploration of motion capture as a live performance tool will make this a truly unique event.
