ALBUQUERQUE, NM: Keshet Presents Everett Company’s "Good Grief"
Company:
Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts
In this virtual presentation of Good Grief, Everett’s dynamic multimedia dance theater enters an unburdening process: the minds and bodies of individuals seeking to address their trauma. Everett artists collaborated with a therapist to explore healing for their own life experiences. Onstage, they dive inward, uncover parts of the self, slip into the unconscious, and look at the body made foreign and disconnected – all in search of a true self. In Good Grief, Everett presents a journey of fragmented memories, exiled parts, and the hope that dwells in a thriving imagination.
Everett is a multi-disciplinary performance arts incubator that encompasses a Company, Stage and School. Its ensemble of artists create, perform, teach and mentor new generations of artists within a diverse community. Good Grief is made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts' National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
