After a long hiatus, Matthew Williams presents Warming up, I'm ready, a dynamic dance-theatre performance and experience that invites you to uncover the sensation of readiness. Ignite your senses with this dazzling performance that prompts reflection on what it truly feels like in your body to express yourself, to be fully present with others, and to engage in the creative process.
Over the last year this inquiry has taken the form of solo performances and public workshop offerings. In its current iteration at Dance Place, they will share an evening-length dance-theatre performance with Philly/Baltimore-based dancer and performance artist Emmett Wilson and DMV-based experimental performance artist Ashley Shey.
