The Indo-American Arts Council announces the 17th annual Erasing Borders Dance Festival, Sept. 21-23. Both a dance feast and an education in the art of East Indian dance and music, the season is entitled "Then and Now," and presents three totally different programs of both emerging and renowned dancers in different styles of Indian dance.
Performances of September 21 & 22 at 6 PM are live at the Ailey Citigroup Theater; Monday Sept. 23 features artists from various locations in India, and can be viewed on Facebook and YouTube.
In addition, there will be two workshops at the Ailey Studios, Sept. 21 & 22, in Bollywood Kathak and Bharatanatyam styles.
