Philadelphia-based DANCE IQUAIL! returns to the Ailey Citigroup Theater with NYC premieres by Christian von Howard and Dr. Iquail Shaheed (the first Black male to earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Texas Women's University). The program will include the NYC premiere of Shaheed's "Rain: A Psalm for JHM" and his 2019 "FLY". By Von Howard is the new "Movement in 3 Parts," also receiving its NYC premiere.
The Sat. 3 pm matinee is the Company's Community Program, and features a dynamic young performing group from Orange, N.J. in original works, and an excerpt from Shaheed's new "Rain."
