LEND YOUR HANDS TO CLEAN THE BEACH, MEET NEW FRIENDS, LEARN ABOUT ROCKAWAY AND JOIN A WORLDWIDE ACTION TO PROTECT THE BEACH AND OUR OCEANS.
Together, we’ll be collecting and cataloguing trash. Select plastic items will be cleaned and utilized in our Art Build on June 15.
This event begins with Hands Across the Sand, a global initiative in which we’ll join hands for a photo along the shoreline to say NO to fossil fuels and YES to clean energy.
The event takes place on Rockaway Beach at 96th Street in Queens, NY. GPS address: 103 Shore Front Pkwy, Queens, NY 11694. Transit options include Subway and Bus and Ferry.
We suggest you wear a hat and bring sunscreen and water to stay hydrated.
