Our intensive aims to continue our mission of unleashing creativity and empowering dancers. Come take classes taught by Teresa Fellion, BodyStories company members, and guest artists! All movers over the age of 16 are welcome! This year we're conducting a two-part Summer Intensive which will be held from August 5th - August 6th in New York City and August 8th - August 11th at Middlebrook Arts Research + Residency Center. Concluding the intensive there will also be a live performance at Middlebrook Arts. That’s not all! Movers who participate in Summer Intensive session 1 and/or 2 will also be invited to perform in a company NYC performance on September 19+20. You don’t want to miss out on these great opportunities!
Other activities during the week include discussions, guest teachings, feedback sessions, outings, and more! Either intensive can be in-person or virtual. The daily schedule is as follows:
Session One: New York City
Dates: August 5 - 6, 2024
Technique: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Improvisation + Composition + Repertory: 11:45 am - 2:00 pm
Rates: Both Days: $100, One Day: $60
Session Two: Zoom or in-person at Middlebrook Arts Research + Residency Center (MAR+RC)
Dates: August 8 -11, 2024
Interdisciplinary LAB: 10:00 am - 10:45 am
Technique: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Improvisation + Composition 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Diverse Range of Evening Activities Each Day!
Rates: In-person, for the full intensive- $225, Virtual (all 3-4 days)- $180, Drop-In Class Fee- $20 per class, Housing fee (if needed) per day/night -$40
