Jean Lenihan is a Los Angeles-based writer and editor. Her writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register, the LA Weekly, Pasadena Magazine and KCET’s Artbound. Her blog, freshpencil, appears on ArtsJournal.com. She was formerly staff dance critic at the Seattle Times and the Seattle Weekly and worked as an editorial producer at Microsoft and Amazon.com. Born and raised in New York City, she studied at the High School of Performing Arts, Sarah Lawrence College and Johns Hopkins University Writing Seminars.
